Anaesthesia and the Peri-Operative Period in Patients Using Cannabinoid- Based Products: from patients who take high dose recreational cannabis to patients on lower-dose prescribed medical cannabinoids

This course aims to guide clinicians through the CBPM prescription process for patients requiring anaesthesia to optimise patient experience and therapeutic outcome. 

• To list the effects of cannabis-based medicines in the field of anaesthesia and to identify the pros and cons of CBPM in patients subject to anaesthesia. 
• To recall appropriate treatment ratios of THC:CBD in patients that will receive anaesthesia.  
• To create a treatment plan for an individual patient requiring anaesthetics, including appropriate maintenance and follow-up.
