The role of Cannabis-based Products for Medicinal Use (CBPM) in patients with ophthalmological pathologies

This course aims to guide clinicians through the CBPM prescription process for patients with ophthalmological pathologies to optimise patient experience and therapeutic outcome. 

• To list the applications for cannabis-based medicines in the field of ophthalmology and to identify the pros and cons of CBPM for each application.
• To recall appropriate treatment ratios of THC:CBD when prescribing CBPM for each ophthalmological application and to recognise a suitable starting dose.
• To create a treatment plan for an individual patient with an ophthalmological condition requiring CBPM therapy, including appropriate maintenance and follow-up.
